open... in green

I watch this Nannyberry viburnum every spring. The leaves emerge in a beautiful naturally symmetric reach upward and outward. I thought I had an old pic but can't find it. This year the first leaves looked different from the start, reaching up a bit longer before opening - turns out it is because they are wrapped around this plant's first ever bloom heads.

white and gray

I am completely enjoying being part of Jude Hill's current online class experience. We have been talking a lot about white. Rusty wheels are turning and there have been lots of little experiments.

I think I am developing a thing for gray - and just as everything is beginning to turn green.

sea

Sorting through some seashell memories from a wonderful trip and settling into being home again. Warm weather seems to have followed us back so for at least today - it will be an easy transition.
