this is extremelySATISFYING to look upon. Satisfying in that there is a contented Pleasure to looking, thebody quiets and recognizes the movement. i start in the lower right and go to the left. istop at the corner 4 squares and rest before going on. i do this a few times then go tothe Center and REST.
I am so glad, grace. I am pleasantly surprised at the gradual blending of one into another with them all together.
The gray background stands up so well to the seasonal cycle...supporting without competing. The whole thing is lovely.
I really like the gray too. It's a rich gray and it may show up in other things I like it so much.
love seeing the whole of your four seasons, the four directions of the elementals with the fifth the ether in the centre... such a celebration of the spirit of your place Susan!
I love seeing them together too, thanks Mo. and I do love the change of seasons - the momentum of it all.
I love reading about your intent. However, even without knowing the story behind this piece, it still satisfies.
The change from one season to another, from snow to mud to seedling to plant to food for someone or some thing, everything whirling around over and over again. It has everything to do with what I want to make. I am encouraged that a fairly simple gathering of squares can say it pretty well.
the circle of life squared. im so impressed how this simple concept has turned out so beautifully . especially love the opposite corners of winter and summer. Love !
yes! A simple block by block plan and so nice to see them all together. I am encouraged to make progress on other block by block projects.
